One Word

Today’s prompt:

December 1 One Word.
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

2010: Simplicity

Back in December 2009, Ali Edwards wrote a post entitled One Little Word 2010 where she selected one word to focus on for the entire year…I thought this was a GREAT idea and thus decided to do the same thing.  The word I chose was Simplicity.  You can read more about why I chose this word here.  This year was all about keeping things simple…friendships, relationships, life, work, play…everything.  While reflecting back on 2010 I must say that I have done a pretty good job at staying true to my word.

Looking forward – the word I look forward to using that clearly captures 2011 for me would be Adventure – “an exciting or remarkable experience”.  2011 is about thinking outside of the box, coloring outside of the lines, dreaming big and trying new things.  It’s about falling down – getting up, brushing off the dust and trying again.  It’s about looking forward, moving forward and really living life.

What word best describes 2010 for you?  Fast forward one year – what one word would you like to use to capture 2011?
